Developed as a public service by renowned physicians and educators in emergency care at the University of Washington and King County EMS, the Resuscitate application offers instant guidance on CPR techniques, operation of four commonly used Automated External Defibrillators (AED), and assistance for choking victims through concise video demonstrations, each lasting about one minute. These resources align with the latest recommendations from prominent international resuscitation organizations such as the American Heart Association and the International Liaison Committee on Resuscitation (ILCOR).
It is worth noting that while this application serves as a valuable quick reference tool, it does not replace formal training in cardiopulmonary resuscitation, AED usage, or aiding choking victims. We strongly encourage individuals to pursue proper instruction in CPR/AED protocols and techniques for assisting choking victims, as being adequately trained can potentially save lives. The videos featured in this application were collaboratively created with support from the University of Washington, the Life Sciences Discovery Fund, the Medic One Foundation, King County Emergency Medical Services, the Seattle Fire Department, the Laerdal Foundation for Acute Medicine, and the Heart Rescue Medtronic Foundation.
